Answer:

Distance is greater than the displacement.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a train on a straight track goes in the positive direction.

We have to find that distance covered by the train is greater than, lees than or equal to its displacement.

Train covered distance in positive direction=6.7 km

Train covered distance in back=4.0 km

Distance covered by the train=6.7+4=10.7 Km

Because distance is the length of path covered by object.

Displacement =Final position -Initial position

Displacement =6.7-4=2.7 km

        10.7 > 2.7

Distance > Displacement

Hence, Distance is greater than the displacement.

CONDITIONAL: If 2x + 1 = 25, then x = 12. INVERSE: if 2x + 1 /=25, then x /= 12 is the inverse of the conditional false or true?
exis [7]
True because if you do 2 x 12 that will equal 24. Then it says +1 so it will be 25. So, it's true.

Which of the following statements is true about the triangles below?
anyanavicka [17]
Triangle ACB and triangle ABD share one side AB. This means they have one side that is congruent; side AB

Angle ABD = Angle ABC
Angle BAC = Angle BAD

The pair of angles that are equal lie on the side AB

Hence, triangle ABC and triangle ABD are congruent by Angle-Side-Angle (ASA)

A group of 40 children attend a baseball game. Each child received either a hotdog or a bag of popcorn. Hotdogs were $2.25 and p
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

  • 27 hot dogs
  • 13 bags of popcorn

Step-by-step explanation:

Had all received popcorn, the bill would have been 40×$1.75 = $70. The bill was $13.50 more than that. Each hot dog purchased in place of popcorn adds $0.50 to the bill, so the number of hot dogs must be ...

  $13.50/$0.50 = 27

Of course, the remainder of the 40 items were popcorn, so 13 bags of popcorn.

27 hot dogs and 13 bags of popcorn were purchased.
