Option B

Gwen is in 24th floor

Solution:

Given that to get the 1st, 3rd 5th, or 7th floors, you use elevator bank a

To get to the 2nd , 4th , 6th or 8th floors , you use elevator Bank b

From this we see that,

To reach odd numbered floors, we use elevator Bank a

To reach even numbered floors, we use elevator Bank b

If Gwen uses elevator bank b to reach her office which floor is she on ?

So if she uses elevator bank b, she must reach even numbered floor

From given options, 23rd floor, 41st floor and 35th floor are odd numbered floor

But option B 24th floor is a even number

So she will reach 24 th floor

Roman and Ranjan each divided 3.56 by 0.72. Roman got 4.94 for his quotient. Which student divided correctly? How do you know? E
Dmitriy789 [7]
Let's concentrate on the math, please, and not on "no scamming me."

Any number other than zero, if divided by a number between 0 and 1, results in a larger number.

Thus, 3.56 divided by 0.72 results in a number larger than 3.56. Thus, at first glance, 4.94 seems quite reasonable as the answer here.

Could you use long division to find the actual quotient?

You could multiply both 3.56 and 0.72 by 100 to get rid of the decimal points. Then you'd be dividing 72 into 356.

Can you do that on paper?

Can you do that using a calculator?

Is the result equal to 4.94?

You have not shared what result Ranjan got, so it's hard to judge which student got the correct result. Perhaps both did!

Which of the following describes a ratio of actual events to the number of trials in an experiment? Select all that apply. HELP
aleksklad [387]
Experiental probability is the correct choice because you will have actual data from an experiment that you are using to create the ratio of outcomes to attempts. This is the scientific and mathematical name for a tested ratio. Theoretical probability, on the other hand, is what you would expect to happen if you were to perform the test.
