Here the length of the prism is 10 in. = l

The width of the prism is 3.5 in = b

And the height of the prism is 1 in. = h

Now this prism is basically a cuboid.

The surface area of a cuboid is

= 2 ( lb + bh + lh)

Substituting the values we get

= 2 (10 ×3.5 + 3.5 × 1 + 10 ×1)

= 2 ( 35 + 3.5 + 10)

= 2 ( 48.5)

= 97 in².

Hence the total surface are of the prism is 97 in².

Tia shall need 97 in² of material to make the case for her calculator.

S.A= (2)(3.5)(10)+(2)(3.5)(1)+(2)(10)(1)
S.A=97in squared

How many centimeters are there in 1 foot? There are 12 inches in 1 foot. the ratio of centimeters to inches by the number of inc
Darya [45]

Answer:

There are 0.0328 centimeters in 1 foot.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : There are 12 inches in 1 foot.

To find : How many centimeters are there in 1 foot?

Solution :

1 foot = 12 inches

and 1 inch = 2.54 centimeter

So, 12 inches = 12\times 2.54 centimeter

12 inches = 30.48 centimeter

i.e. 1 foot = 30.48 centimeter

Then, 1 centimeter = \frac{1}{30.48} foot

1 centimeter = 0.0328 foot

Therefore, there are 0.0328 centimeters in 1 foot.

I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

11%

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Percentage increase = (New average- previous average)/previous average x 100</em>

<em>New average: 1554</em>

<em>Previous average: 1400</em>

Percentage increase = (1554-1400)/1400 x 100

Percentage increase = 154/1400 x 100

Percentage increase = 0.11 x 100

Percentage increase = 11%

Therefore, the average increased by 11%.

Hello!

To solve exercise 9, we must use the rule of three.

Note that the initial price was R12 (corresponds to 100%).

The new price is R10.8 (we'll consider x%).

Using the rule of three, we will have:

\begin{gathered} \frac{12\rightarrow100\%}{10.8\rightarrow x\%} \\  \\ 12\cdot x=10.8\cdot100 \\ 12x=1080 \\ x=\frac{1080}{12} \\  \\ x=90\% \end{gathered}

Now, let's calculate the difference between the initial percentage and the new percentage:

100\%-90\%=10\%\text{ of decrease}

<h2>Answer:</h2>

10% of decrease.
