Here the length of the prism is 10 in. = l

The width of the prism is 3.5 in = b

And the height of the prism is 1 in. = h

Now this prism is basically a cuboid.

The surface area of a cuboid is

= 2 ( lb + bh + lh)

Substituting the values we get

= 2 (10 ×3.5 + 3.5 × 1 + 10 ×1)

= 2 ( 35 + 3.5 + 10)

= 2 ( 48.5)

= 97 in².

Hence the total surface are of the prism is 97 in².

Tia shall need 97 in² of material to make the case for her calculator.

S.A= (2)(3.5)(10)+(2)(3.5)(1)+(2)(10)(1)
S.A=97in squared

A random sample of n 5 4 individuals is selected from a population with m 5 35, and a treatment is administered to each individu
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

5.1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

sample size n = 4

the mean of the original population  μ is = 35

and the mean for the sample after treatment M is = 40.1

standard deviation of the sample SS = 48

The difference between the mean for the treated sample and the mean for the original population is therefore calculated as: M -  μ

= 40.1 - 35

= 5.1

The standard error of M is = \dfrac{standard \ deviation \ of \ the \ sample}{\sqrt{sample \ size} }

The standard error of M is = \dfrac{SS}{\sqrt{n} }

The standard error of M is = \dfrac{48}{\sqrt{4} }

The standard error of M is = \dfrac{48}{2 }

The standard error of M is = 24

How do I answer A and B?
shusha [124]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) We're working with the ratio 3:1

x:500

500/1 = 500

500 * 3 = 1,500

x = 1,500

She would need to use 1,500 mL of yellow ink.

b) We're working with the ratio 2:3

x:750

750/3 = 250

250 * 2 = 500

x = 500

She would need to use 500 mL of red ink.

You can check both of these by:

(a) 1,500/500 = 3/1 = 3 : 1 which is the ratio we're working with.

(b) 500/2 = 250

750/2 = 375

250 : 375

Then, divide both 250 and 375 by 125

250/125 = 2

375/125 = 3

We are then left with the ratio 2 : 3 which is the ratio we're working with.

An angle measures 38° more than the measure of its complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?
seropon [69]
Answer: 38° and 52°

Steps:
x + 38° = 90°
x = 90° - 38°
