We know that 109 and (8x-25) are summplementary angles meaning they add up to 180.

So we can set up the following equation 109+(8x-25)=108

So we have to combine like terms meaning adding -25 and 109 which is 84.

And we also have to put the whole numbers on one side so we so 180-84 which is 96.

Now our equation looks like this -> 8x=96.

And to get x by itself we do 96÷8 which is 12.

So x is 12.
