Answer:

There is a 55.97% that a male can find a full time job in his chosen profession.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have these following probabilities:

A 60% probability that a college graduates cannot find a full time job in their chosen profession.

A 40% probability that a college graduates can find a full time job in their chosen profession.

57% of the college graduates who cannot find a job are female

43% of the college graduates who cannot find a job are male

18% of the college graduates who can find a job are female

82% of the college who can find a job are male.

Given a male college graduate, find the probability he can find a full time job in his chosen profession?

The total males are 43% of 60%(Those who cannot find a job) and 82% of 40%(Those who can find a job). So the percentage of males is P(M) = 0.43*0.60 + 0.82*0.40 = 0.586

Those who are males and find a job in their chosen profession are 82% of 40%. So P(M \cap J) = 0.82*0.40 = 0.328

P = \frac{P(M \cap J)}{P(M)} = \frac{0.328}{0.586} = 0.5597

There is a 55.97% that a male can find a full time job in his chosen profession.

if syn spends 15 minutes running, he burns 200 calories. how long would it take Syn to burn 150 calories?
kramer

Answer:

11.25min

Step-by-step explanation:

In this problem, we first need to find the rate at which syn burns calories per minute

so in 15mins, he burns 200 calories

    in 1 mins he will burn x

x= 200/15

x=13.33 calories per min this is the rate

So in one minute he will burn 13.33 calories

Now using the idea of rate=quantity/time

the rate=13.33

quantity=15 calories

time=?

time=quantity/rate

time=150/13.33

time=11.25min

   Alternatively

(very fast approach)

         if syn spend 15min to burn 200 cal

then he will spend x min to burn 150 cal

cross multiply

x=(150*15)/200

x=2250/200

x=11.25mins

Cloud [144]

Answer:

(-8, 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

x = -2 is a vertical line passing through (-2, 0).

The point (4, 1) is 6 units to the right of this line.

After reflecting the point over the line, the image point will be 6 units to the left of the line: (-8, 1).
