Answer: Nail bed

Explanation:

The nail bed can be defined as the skin beneath the nail plate. Like the other skin of the body, it is also made pf two different types of tissues.

The deeper dermis is made of of living tissues which includes glands and capillaries and this is the reason if there is a cut in the finger nail and t hurts the finger, bleeding starts.

The nails above this is not made of living tissues so when it is being there is no pain felt and no bleeding takes place there.
