\large\underline{\bf\red{Solution:-}}

Given two points are :-

  • ( -1 , 3)
  • ( 0 , -5)

So , we know Two point form into equⁿ using a formula , which is

\boxed{\purple{\bf{\dag y - y_1 = \dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}(x-x_1)}}}

So, on substituting respective values ,

=> y - 3 = (-5-3)/0-(-1) × ( x - 3)

=> y - 3 = -8/1 ( x - 3)

=> y - 3 = -8x +24

=> 8x + y -27 = 0

What is the zeros of the quadratic function y=x^2+14x+24
777dan777 [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

{x}^{2}  + 14x + 24 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + 12x + 2x + 24 = 0 \\ x(x + 12) + 2(x + 12) = 0 \\ (x + 12)(x + 2)  = 0\\ x =  - 12 \\ x =  - 2

Andre45 [30]

Answer:

a) Let Kim's age be k, then Kim's sister's age is k/2

k+\frac{k}{2}=24

b) k+\frac{k}{2}=24

1\frac{1}{2}k=24

k=16

\frac{k}{2}=8

Kim's age is 16 while her sister's age is 8.
