Answer : 7 feet

In triangle NQL, point S is the centroid, NS = (x + 10) feet, and SR = (x + 3) feet.

the diagram is attached below

Centroid divides the angle bisector into parts

NS = 2/3 of NR  and SR = 1/3 of NR

So NS is 2 times of SR

NS = 2 SR

NS = (x + 10) feet, and SR = (x + 3) feet.

(x+10) =2 (x+3)

x + 10 = 2x + 6 ( subtract 2x  and 10 on both sides)

-x = -4

So x=4

SR = x + 3 = 4 + 3 =  7

SR = 7 feet

What is the equation of a line with a slope of 1/2 and a point (3, 1) on the line?
dezoksy [38]
Pattern of the equation = y = mx+b
Here, m = 1/2
So, y = 1/2x + b
Now, calculating for b,
1 = 1/2 * 3 + b
b = 1 - 3/2 = -1/2

So, equation will be: y = 1/2x - 1/2

Hope this helps!

The circumference of circle a is 3 times greater than the circumference of circle
Liono4ka [1.6K]
We know, Circumference of a Circle = 2πr

In mathematical form, You can write it as:
2πr₁ = 3(2πr₂)

2π(12) = 6πr₂

24π = 6πr₂

r₂ = 4 m

In short, Your Answer would be: 4 meter

Hope this helps!

A metal washer is made by cutting out a circle 13.2 mm in diameter from a larger circle. To the nearest tenth, what is the area
Lana71 [14]
The area of the washer will be the area of the smaller circle SUBTRACTED from the area of the larger circle.

Area of a circle = pi * r^2 where r is your radius (which is half the diameter).
Larger circle area = pi *(diameter/2) ^2.
Smaller circle area = pi * (13.2/2)^2 = pi * 6.6^2 = 136.8484....

So...the area of the washer = larger circle area - 136.4848...
