original price = $48

In terms of percentages the original price is 100% and the purchase price is 70% ( that is 30% less than 100% = 70% )

divide the purchase price by 70 to find 1% and multiply by 100 to obtain original price

original price = \frac{33.60}{70} × 100 = $48

So if the used a 30% off coupon she paid 70% of the original price so we can set up a proportion to solve
\frac{0.7}{33.60}  =  \frac{1}{x}
We can solve to find that x = 48 so the original price was $48

mina [271]

Answer:

t = -1.862, df = 399, p > 0.05

Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis is the statement which is test for its validity. The decision to accept or reject the null hypothesis is based on the test statistics value. In the given question the null hypothesis is H0 = 34. There is one sample t-test for the testing of null hypothesis. The null hypothesis will be same for each type of one sample t-test. The null hypothesis assumes that the difference between the true mean and comparison value is zero.
