rationalizing the numerator, or namely, "getting rid of that pesky radical at the top".

we simply multiply top and bottom by a value that will take out the radicand in the numerator.

\bf \cfrac{\sqrt[3]{144x}}{\sqrt[3]{y}}~~
\begin{cases}
144=2\cdot 2\cdot 2\cdot 2\cdot 3\cdot 3\\
\qquad 2^3\cdot 18
\end{cases}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[3]{2^3\cdot 18x}}{\sqrt[3]{y}}\implies \cfrac{2\sqrt[3]{ 18x}}{\sqrt[3]{y}}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{2\sqrt[3]{ 18x}}{\sqrt[3]{y}}\cdot \cfrac{\sqrt[3]{(18x)^2}}{\sqrt[3]{(18x)^2}}\implies \cfrac{2\sqrt[3]{(18x)(18x)^2}}{\sqrt[3]{(y)(18x)^2}}\implies \cfrac{2\sqrt[3]{(18x)^3}}{\sqrt[3]{18^2x^2y}}

\bf \cfrac{2(18x)}{\sqrt[3]{324x^2y}}~~
\begin{cases}
324=2\cdot 2\cdot 3\cdot 3\cdot 3\cdot 3\\
\qquad 12\cdot 3^3
\end{cases}\implies \cfrac{36x}{\sqrt[3]{12\cdot 3^3x^2y}}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{36x}{3\sqrt[3]{12x^2y}}\implies \cfrac{12x}{\sqrt[3]{12x^2y}}

Help asap please for brainlist !!!!!!!!!
IgorLugansk [536]
Bff i answered this earlier. It’s step 2!!! Because if you’re flipping the numerator and denominator, the sign of the exponent should be flipped as well. So the exponent will turn into -5x
Sorry if my previous answer was vague. #brainliest!!!

Translate each sentence into a formula
Bas_tet [7]
1) Perimeter=2length+2width
This is the formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle

2) Density=mass/volume
The “Quotient” is the answer to a division problem (like how the “sum” is the answer to an addition problem) which is why we know to divide mass and volume

3) Force = mass*acceleration
The “product” is the answer to a multiplication problem which is why we know to multiply mass and acceleration

4) surface area = 6*L^2
The formula used to calculate the area of a square is L^2. The problem tells us that surface area is the sum of all the faces of a 3D shape. Because there are 6 sides on a cube, we multiply L^2 by 6.

Hope this helps!
