Well their firing caused what some people thought was a civil war.  It was really just southerners fighting to keep slaves. The north hadnt taken all their talk of secession seriously and had decided to keep pressing the south until  they finally formed the confederate states of america. The effect was that the southerners were forced to fight the northern invaders and the black regiments. It was a civil war that the north won because the majority of the population and reources and was under their control. Lee couldnt have fresh army troops but washington did and after every attack got new fresh troops to get his army going

Why is in inaccurate to label an American politician as a “communist” simply because he or she expresses a desire to increase go
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

Because communism is a specific ideology in which private property and money are abolished, and people work only for their own pleasure. This is a theoretical stage developed by marxist theories that has never been reached.

An American politician calling for more government intervention can fall under a myriad of political ideologies: from social liberalism, to social democracy, to even democratic socialism. Thus, it is not accurate to label someone like that as "communist".
