Answer:

When x=5 you will travel the same distance both days.

Step-by-step explanation:

x is a variable and it will affect the distance you travel.

When x is a specific value the distance traveled by bicycle can be the same.

Following equality will help to find that x value.

2x+5=3x

5=x

So when x=5 you will travel the same distance both days.

fenix001 [56]

Answer: 36 cars and 9 motorcycles

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. It's given that he has x motorcycles to 4x cars
  2. After he bought the cars and sold the motorcycles, he had 4x+4 cars to x-4 motorcycles
  3. Since after this selling/buying, he has 8 times more cars than motorcycles, you can write the equation 4x+4=8(x-4)
  4. Once you solve you get 36 cars and 9 motorcycles

I don't get it can u help me??
andrew-mc [135]

Just look at the percentages and make them into fractions. You can think about it like money. 50 cents is half of a dollar, so %50 is 1/2. for the decimals, you just take the percent and put a decimal point in front of the answer, so 28% is .28, 50% is .50, 18% is .18. For fraction to decimals, you could just put 1 divided by 4 into a calculator and it will tell you .25, which is the decimal, and 25 cents is one fourth of a dollar, so it works out.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
