Answer:

<u><em>abraham lincoln</em></u>

Through constant practice and diligent effort, even when Lincoln attained the high political position of president, he treated others whom he encountered with honesty, humility, courage, justice, and grace. Even in Lincoln's own lifetime people were fascinated by him.

<u><em>Barack Obama</em></u>

has always been a leader in a true sense. Even before becoming the 44th US President and holding 2 terms at the office, Obama was a prolific politician and was revered by the American public especially from his home state of Illinois and city of Chicago from where he was elected as Senator as well. It was getting involved and helping the community that made him a public figure and later on a politician known all across the US.

Answer:

Dissenters

Explanation:

The term dissenters was widely used in  17th and 18th centuries.  Generally, these dissenters were only a group of people that opposed the states' intervention to personal religious matters. (At that time, England wanted the church to be heavily involved in all political decisions).

But, many church officials at that time blatantly categorized these dissenters as someone who oppose the church and Christianity as a whole to diminish public support for them.

The main idea of the narrative is that a slave is no better than an animal. In the passage, Douglass states, "I had been at my new home but one week before Mr. Covey gave me a very severe whipping, cutting my back, causing the blood to run, and raising ridges on my flesh as large as my little finger. " This shows evidence of the main idea because this is much like, almost worse than how people treated animals. Something else Douglass stated was " Upon this he rushed at me with the fierceness of a tiger, tore off my clothes, and lashed me till he had worn out his switches, cutting me so savagely as to leave the marks visible for a long time after." These are examples of unexplainable actions being done to humans. Animals get abused, but so did the slaves.
