Why is it incorrect to state that arteries carry oxygenated blood and veins carry deoxygenated blood?

Biology

Answer:

Since pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood while pulmonary vein carries the oxygenated blood.

Explanation:

It is incorrect since it is not true for all the arteries and veins present in the body. The arteries such as the pulmonary artery deliver the deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs. On the other hand, the pulmonary vein carries the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart. Therefore, arteries carry the blood away from the heart while the veins carry the blood towards the heart.

Answer: It is incorrect because arteries carry deoxygenated blood and veins carries oxygenated blood.

Explanation:

Veins are blood vessels that carries blood to the heart. Most veins carries deoxygenated blood with the exception of pulmonary veins that carries oxygenated blood from lungs to the left atrium of the heart.

Arteries are blood vessels that carries blood away from the heart. Most arteries carries Oxygenated blood with the exception of Pulmonary arteries that are responsible for carrying deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs. When the blood passes through the alveoli, it become oxygenated which is a process of respiration.

Describe how the SARS-CoV-2 virus affects your cells.
gogolik [260]

Answer:

SARS- CoV- 2 is a virus that infects human by the oral-respiratory way in which the virus enters the body and these viruses have spikes on their surface made of spike proteins that allow these viruses to bind with the infected cell.

The infected cells have ACE2 receptor that is protein present on the surface of the human cells. Binding allows the structural change in the virus to fuse and enter in the cell where viruses reproduce them selves with the cell with cell system.

You are working with a 125 million bp human chromosome (1 centimorgan = 1 million bp), and wish to use markers to map newgenes v
Lena [83]

Answer:

After every 0.192 centimorgan

Explanation:

If there are 125 million base pairs then according to the parallel ratio compare rule it should contain an average of 650 genes. If every gene has to be marked by a single marker on each end then a total number of 651 markers are used after every 0.192 centimorgan distance.
