Which line from “Raymond's Run” provides the best evidence that Squeaky has self confidence? So they are steady coming up Broadw

ay and I see right away that it’s going to be one of those Dodge City scenes cause the street ain’t that big and they’re close to the buildings just as we are. I’m thinking that girls never really smile at each other because they don’t know how and don’t want to know how and there’s probably no one to teach us how, cause grown-up girls don’t know either. I continue with my breathing exercises, strolling down Broadway toward the ice man on 145th with not a care in the world cause I am Miss Quicksilver herself. The biggest thing on the program is the May Pole dancing, which I can do without, thank you, even if my mother thinks it’s a shame I don’t take part and act like a girl for a change.

Analysis Of Jane Austen's On Making And Agreeable Marriage

There were no hidden messages or alternate meanings for this one. Austen told her the only reason she should ever marry someone was for love.

  • Explanation:
  • “On Making an Agreeable Marriage” is a title given to Jane Austen's letters to her niece, Fanny. In these writings, Austen discusses the subject of marriage, and loveless marriage in particular. She writes that "Anything is to be preferred or endured rather than marrying without affection."As her niece is very young, Austen attempts to give her love advice. In doing so, she uses an emotional appeal. An emotional appeal is an attempt to persuade other person to adopt the same opinion that we have by getting an emotional reaction from them.

What can you understand about Greek cultural values based on the portrayal and characterization of Polyphemus? What is being sai
Advocard [28]

Answer and Explanation:

The representation and characterization of Polyphemus features a monster that lives in caves. This was very common in Greek culture, to believe that monstrous and dangerous creatures were hidden in antiquity, in the seas and in caves, as they would be fought if they lived in the midst of civilization. As a monstrous Greek creature, Polyphemus is ferocious, bloodthirsty and strong, acting violently against human beings.

He is also unintelligent, easily falling into Odysseus' trap.

This shows that the Greek people, even fearing and recognizing their disadvantages in relation to monsters, believed that wisdom had reasoning as an advantage that would allow them to survive.
