Geophysical engineering is used to locate and extract natural resources from the earth, such as minerals, precious gems, water, or gases. To do so, the geophysical engineer needs knowledges in mathematics, physics, chemistry and geology. In this way he can figure out how to extract them in an efficient and environmentally friendly way. As coal is a sedimentary rock found underground the geophysical engineer is the most suitable for the job.
