So i am guessing that those are two different equations so for the equation:
-7x-y=13 your answer is x= \frac{-1}{7}y  + \frac{-13}{7}. How is this?
Well you have to add y to both sides of the equation so it would look like this:-7x-y+y=13+y and so when you add it up it will look like this:-7x=y+13 notice that the negitive y became a positive and went to the other side of the equation. So now what? well know you can divide by -7 so like this:\frac{-7x}{-7} + \frac{y+13}{-7} so then once you do all of that your answer becomes:x=\frac{-1}{7}y+ \frac{-13}{7}.

Now for your second equation and just look in the attachment it is explained in written from not text XD. Good Luck~!

Given that f(x)=x2-1 and g(x)=2x+8 find (g-f)(10)
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

<h2>(g-f)(10) = - 71</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = x² - 1

g(x) = 2x + 8

To find (g-f)(10) first find ( g - f)(x)

To find ( g - f)(x) subtract f(x) from g(x)

That's

( g - f)(x) = 2x + 8 - ( x² - 1)

Remove the bracket

( g - f)(x) = 2x + 8 - x² + 1

Simplify

( g - f)(x) = - x² + 2x + 9

To find (g-f)(10) substitute the value in the bracket that's 10 into ( g - f)(x)

That is

(g-f)(10) = -(10)² + 2(10) + 9

= - 100 + 20 + 9

= - 100 + 29

= - 71

Hope this helps you

What is the value of "h"?
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

h = 76

Step-by-step explanation:

2 + h - 48 = 30

h + 2 - 48 = 30

h - 46 = 30

h - 46 + 46 = 30 + 46

h = 76

Abe and Ben each have a certain number of dollars. If Abe gives Ben $5 then Abe and Ben will have the same number of dollars. If
11111nata11111 [884]
A = 5 + B
A + 5 = 2B

Let's get one of the variables on one side.

A = 5 + B
A = 2B - 5

By the transitive property

5 + B = 2B - 5

Solve for B.

5 = B - 5
10 = B

Use 10 = B in an earlier equation to find A.

A = 5 + B
A = 5 + 10
A = 15

Abe has 15$ and Ben has 10$.
