Answer: Catalyst. Any molecule that will increase the rate of a chemical reaction, does not participate directly in the reaction and therefore is reusable, and does not supply the energy for the reaction (heat or ATP does). Enzymes work on one reactant, called a. Substrate.

Enzymes are proteins that act as organic catalyst. Difference between enzyme and catalyst? All enzymes are catalyst, but not all catalyst are enzymes. Catalyst is any substance that speed up the rate of a chemical reaction: Organic & Inorganic. (Well I rlly Hope this helped you!)
