How does fossils record help scientists observe changes in organism over time ?
Anna007 [38]

As the world changes, plants and animals change with it. Aside from a few living fossils, the species we see today are very different from species that lived in the past.

What is the minimum age of a fossil?

A living being that lived more than 11 thousand years ago is considered a fossil, that is, before the Holocene, which is the current geological epoch.

Ancient remains or evidence, but less than 11,000 years old, such as sambaquis, are classified as subfossils.

The dating of a fossil can be done based on the already known percentage of Carbon-14 (C14) in relation to Carbon-12 (C12) of living matter (without decomposition).

Thus, the fossil record can be used to show that organisms changed to meet new conditions.

What is the best biological definition of species
Alenkinab [10]
A group of closely related organisms that are very similar to each other and are usually capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring. The species is the fundamental category of taxonomic classification, ranking below a genus or subgenus. Species names are represented in binomial nomenclature by an uncapitalized Latin adjective or noun following a capitalized genus name, as in Ananas comosus, the pineapple, and Equus caballus, the horse.
2. Logic A class of individuals or objects grouped by virtue of their common attributes and assigned a common name; a division subordinate to a genus.
3. Chemistry A set of atoms, molecules, ions, or other chemical entities that possess the same distinct characteristics with respect to a chemical process or measurement.

When an enzyme doesn't work properly it is said to be __________________. Three things that can cause this are _______________,
nignag [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

When enzyme does not work properly it is said to be inactive and this affect its efficiency.

Substrate concentration - Enzyme requires adequate substrate concentration to be effective, when the concentration is high the enzyme activity increases and when it is low it decreases.

Temperature - Enzymes are more active at specific temperature at very high temperature enzyme can be denatured leading to a loss of its activity. Hence, enzyme should be made to work at its optimum.

pH- Enzymes are active at specific pH, when the pH is altered enzymatic activity may be reduced or enzyme become inactive. Hence, pH of enzymes should be maitained.
