If I am reading this correctly, you have been tasked with researching the "impact of perspective on historic events", meaning you will find how different thoughts and belief systems can impact historical events. Essentially, how do personal experiences, biases, beliefs, and/or attitudes affect the path of history?

In the materials, it shows you need a political figure's speech. These can often be found on YouTube or government websites. You will also need to editorials that review the figure's speech. These sources will be used as evidence for the essay component.

Your essay will have an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The introduction should incorporate your findings regarding perspective and its role in the selected speech. The first body paragraph will summarize the speech audio/film, while the second and third paragraphs will review the two selected editorials. The conclusion should evaluate any 'loose ends' between the editorials, in addition to your general ideas on perspective's role in history.

I hope that helps!

1- "I, Too" reflects the speaker's desire to be accepted as part of America. The speaker is an African -American slave. The "I" stands for the African- American speaker and the " too" stands for the fact that he has to be accepted as part of the American nation. The period reflected in the poem ,then, is that of racism during the early 20's in TheU.S.

2- The main theme seen through the poem is patriotism. The speaker is " the darker brother". He has got white brothers in America. They all sing America.

3- Cullen 's poems are also reflective of racism. He deals with the African -American's soul and their emotions. He is worried about the situation of the African- Americans in Harlem. After they fought in the WWI, they could not get any job in the U.S. However, Cullen also deals with the union of blacks and whites in his poems.

miv72 [106K]

Answer:

Books and movies are different there are many details that change while both tell the same story the book has many different events that take longer to occur than the movie. For example in the book "Divergent" we see our main character Tris go through many simulations and at the middle of the second book we see a very painful and specific simulation while in the movie we see this towards the end. Both may tell the same story but they have different events that occur and the movie doesn't explain things as well as the book. The books have pages and pages to explain while the movie has a short allotted time to explain. -Your friend, Bill Cipher

hammer [34]

A. "When she ... lived there."

This line only defines a specific detail about how the special agent survived through a fake name as a spy. No central theme is described through this sentence.

B. "Baissac’s goal ... resistance groups."

This statement provides the agent’s motive and the way she enacted the task provided. However, that does not completely cover everything in the passage.

C. "Baissac did ... her tasks."

Significant work is not specific, and Normandy and traveling by a bicycle are smaller and irrelevant details, not the big picture that should be concluded from this passage.

D. "As a ... German troops."

This is the statement that definitely defines the central idea of the excerpt. When we break this line into sections, we can see that it illustrates that she performed multiple essential tasks when appointed in Normandy. The phrase “sometimes dangerous tasks” describes the critical nature of the job she handled in there. And, also the opposition (German troops) is clearly mentioned in this sentence which helps to convey the idea very clearly.
