Equation 1: 6x – 4y = -24

Let y = 0; 6x – 4(0) = -24

6x = -24

x = -4 hence when y = 0, x = -4

Equation 2: 4x – 8y = -32

Let x = 0; 4(0) – 8y = -32

-8y = -32

y = 4 hence when x = 0, y = 4
