I think what you need to do here is do the volume of a cone. Which is 1/3 pir^2h. The first step is to find the radius. In order to do that is to divide the diameter by 2. You do this because the radius is two times smaller than the diameter. Then you want to multiply the radius (which is 6 inches) by the height (12 inches). By this time you should have the number 72 (12x6). The next step is to multiply 72 by pi, or 3.14. Which is 226.08.  I hope that you realized that all is left in the formula is the fraction 1/3. What you do here is divide the sum, or what you have multiplied. So, 226.08 divided by 3 is 75. 36. The model should be 75.36 inches.

What is the area of a circle with a radius of 35 inches?<br> in²<br> (Use 3.14 for Pi.)
Alex

Answer:

\boxed{ \tt{Area  \: \: of \: a \: circle = \pi \:  {r}^{2} }}

  • Plug the values and then solve :

\longrightarrow \tt \:  3.14   \times 35^{2}

\longrightarrow \tt \: 3846.5\: in ^{2}

  • Our final answer is 3846.5 in ^2

A container is shaped like a cylinder with half spheres on each end the cylinder has a length of 30 centimeters and a radius of
4vir4ik [10]
The container is aproximatly 1064.16 cm^2

Volume of a cylinder (area of the base* height) + area of the sphere (4 *pi * r^2)
(25*30) + (4* pi * 25) = 750 + 314.15926535898 = 1064.15926535898

Trey is out shopping and sees that striped shirts are on sale for $25.00 each, and plaid pants are on sale for $22.50 each. He b
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

  $140

Step-by-step explanation:

You can add up the prices to find the total. Most of us find it easier to multiply the price by the number of items.

  cost of 2 shirts = (2)($25.00) = $50

  cost of 4 pants = (4)(22.50) = $90

The total was $50 +90 = $140.

The quadrilateral ABCD is a rhombus with BD = BC. On the side
Andreas93 [3]
The halves of the rhombus separated by line BD are equilateral triangles.
  ∠BAD = 60°
so
  ∠ADM is 0.80*60° = 48°.

∠BMD is an exterior angle to ΔAMD, so is equal to the sum
  ∠BMD = ∠BAD + ∠ADM
  = 60° +48° = 108°

∠BMD = 108°
