Spanish developer Pedro De Castañeda described the high Plains of Texas as spacious and level.
Pedro De Castañeda was a Spanish explorer and chronicler of the Coronado expedition in what today is Texas. He lived in Vizcaya, Spain, and traveled to Culiacan, Mexico in advance. He wrote his chronicles when the Spanish explorers were looking for the Mythical place of "la Cibola," in 1540. In his chronicles, he described the high Plains of Texas as spacious and level.
The First Battle of the Marne was a battle of the First World War fought from 6 to 12 September 1914.[1] It resulted in an Allied victory against the German armies in the west.
