Answer:

Operating profit will be equal to $214500

Explanation:

We have given sales = $2150000

Cost of goods sold = $1500000

It is given that selling and administrative expense is 10% of the sale

So selling and administrative expense will be equal; to =\frac{2150000\times 10}{100}=215000$

Depreciation is 55 of total assets of $4410000

So depreciation =\frac{4410000\times 5}{100}=220500 $

So operating profit will be equal to = $2150000 - $1500000-$215000-$220500 = $214500

So operating profit will be equal to $214500

What are Checkable Deposits?

Any demand deposit account for which checks or drafts of any sort may be drawn is referred to as having checkable deposits in the technical sense. (The owner of a demand deposit account has the right to immediately, notice fewer withdrawals of funds.) The most liquid accounts available to consumers are checkable deposit accounts.

They also include any sort of negotiable draft, such as a Super NOW account or a negotiable order of withdrawal (NOW). (Withdrawing funds from NOW accounts may be subject to a seven-day written notification requirement, however, this is seldom necessary.)

Zanzabum

Answer:

Complete question is:

XYZ Company recorded the following information related to their inventory

accounts for 2020:

                         January 1, 2020 December 31, 2020

Direct materials 37,000 50,000

Work in process 38,000 41,000

Finished goods 22,000 34,000

The following information was taken from XYZ Company's accounting records

for 2020:

Sales revenue ........................................... $630,000

Direct materials purchased .............................. ?

Depreciation, factory equipment ......................... 34,000

Prime costs ............................................. 250,000

Utilities (60% for factory; 40% for office building) .... 20,000

Sales commissions ....................................... ?

Indirect materials ...................................... 25,000

Depreciation, office equipment .......................... 30,000

Rent, factory building .................................. 56,000

Net income .............................................. 10,000

Direct labor ............................................ ?

Advertising ............................................. 75,000

Production supervisor's salary .......................... 81,000

Additional information:

1. Direct labor comprised 35% of the conversion costs for 2020.

2. The actual overhead cost for 2020 was equal to the overhead applied

to production. Thus there was no overhead variance for 2020.

A) Calculate XYZ Company's direct labor cost for 2020.

B) Calculate the direct materials purchased by XYZ Company in 2020.

C) Calculate XYZ Company's sales commissions for 2020.

Answer is:

a) Total overhead = 34000+12000+25000+56000+81000 = 208000

Direct labor = 208000*35/65 = 112000

b) Direct material used = 250000-112000 = 138000

Direct material purchase = 138000+50000-37000 = 151000

c) Sales and administrative expense other than sales commission = 113000

Sales commission = 630000-443000-113000-10000 = 64000

Assuming that the MR Corporation has an inventory of 200 defective motors costing $450,000 to produce and $150,000 to repair, if
ella [17]

Answer: True

Explanation:

Here for calculation of the profit or loss the cost of production cannot be used for comparison as they are the sunk cost it cannot be used for taking sale or rework decision. It is given the proceeds from the sale of inventory would be $425,000 and the cost of rework will be $150,000.

Net proceeds from sale of units = 425000 - 150000

=$275,000

It is clear that these profits are lower than the sale of these units without repair. Sale proceeds without repair is $325,000. So MR corporation can make decision to sell the units without repair for better benefits.
