HELP PLEASE The Second Amendment protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms, yet it is illegal to own some weapons.

How can this happen? A right to public safety is guaranteed in the Constitution. The United States is not threatened by invasion in modern times. States and local governments can make laws restricting weapons. Modern weapons are more dangerous than the ones from the Constitutional era.

So even though The Second Amendment states people can keep and bear arms it still has its restrictions legally. Now some people do come and throw that in others faces but what they do not know is that some of these weapons were not around in the time of the Second Amendment so laws can make some weapons illegal to be in possession of. I could be wrong, we just studied this last year but I hope I helped if I didn't then I wish I could have.

GOOD LUCK!
