Teenage hormones are the chemicals that cause the physical growth and sexual development that will carry you through your teens and into adulthood. As these substances take hold of your body, you’ll notice that your emotions, moods and sexual feelings are much stronger. Hormone changes can be the cause of mood swings in teens but there are other factors as well.

Hormonal imbalances take a huge part in mood swings. When changes occur in the body it is difficult to stay patient. Estrogen is odd, it can either drop drastically or level up really high. With these changes, Serotonin is created. A neurotransmitter that regulates your moods. As this changes, through a hormonal change, your moods will fluctuate.
