Mathematics

7 0

Answer:  21.994 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the shaded region = Area of the bigger circle - the areas of the two smaller circles.

Formula for finding area of a circle       =  πr² where π is a constants . It has value of         22/7 or 3.142

Now area of the bigger circle                = 3.142 x 3²

                                                                  = 3.142 x 9

                                                                  = 28.278 cm²                                       Now are of the two smaller triangle        = 3.142 x 1² x 2

                                                                   = 6.284 cm².

Therefore are of the shaded region        = 28.278 - 6.284

                                                                   = 21.994 cm²
