To do this you will take the mass of the sack which is 45g.

Divide this amount by the number of nickels in the sack which is 9.

45 \div 9 = 5

So the mass of one nickel is 5g.

Hello there!

9 nickels = 45g

1 nickel = ?

Then cross multiply that

45 * 1 = 9 * x

45 = 9x

x = 45/9

x = 5

As always, it is my pleasure helping students like you!

Andreas93 [3]

Step-by-step explanation:

given Tony can type at a constant rate of 110 words every 2 minutes.This means tony can type 55 words in every minute.

A- Tony can type W words in T minutes. W*T=M (M=Minutes Tony typed)

B- Tony can type 1100 words in 20 minutes. as 55*20=1100.

C- Yes, Tony can type the essay. Why: because in this equation w=55 and t=30 minutes so t*w=30*55=1650 so yes, Tony can write the essay.

Answer:

2 nickels, 9 dimes

Step-by-step explanation:

When there are a number of overlapping shaded areas on the graph, I find it convenient to use the reverse of the inequalities. That makes the unshaded area the solution space. Here, the vertices of the triangular solution space are ...

 (2, 9), (2, 13), (6, 9)

Any of the grid points within (or on) this triangle is a possible solution. One of them is (2, 9) corresponding to 2 nickels and 9 dimes.

__

Three solutions are shown:

 (x, y) = (2, 9), (3, 10), (4, 11)
