Answer: 1 5/11

Step-by-step explanation:

To make an improper fraction a mixed number, you basically divide the numerator by the denominator.

22 can only go into 32 once, leaving 10 left over. So, take the remaining ten, and keep the denominator, and there you have your mixed number.

\frac{32}{22}  =  1\frac{10}{22}

<em>BUT WAIT!!!</em>

That fraction's not simplified, is it? Let's see what we can do with it, then!

10/22 can be reduced by finding the GCF, or the greatest common factor. Common factors are numbers that both quantities can be divided by to get another whole number. <u>*(For example, the factors of 5 are 1 and 5. The factors of 10 are 1, 2 , 5, and 10. The common factors of 5 and 10 are 1 and 5. The greatest common factor, or GCF, of 5 and 10 is 5.)*</u>

In this case, the GCF of 10 and 22 is 2. So we reduce the fraction by 2, by dividing both the numerator <em>and </em>the denominator by their GCF to get:

\frac{10}{22}  /\frac{2}{2} =  \frac{5}{11}

And there you have it! Your answer is:

\frac{32}{22}  =  1\frac{5}{11}

What is the answer to -7d-22=4d?
Juliette [100K]
First add 7d to both sides:
-22 = 11d
Now divide by 11 both sides
-2 = d

You can work on either side of the equation, I used the right side for the variables because it was easier to add to positive numbers than dealing with negative numbers on the left side:
 -7d -4d = 22
-11d =22
d = -2

either way you get the same answer :)

The figure shows a square, a regular pentagon and a regular hexagon put together. What is the measure of ∠BAC
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

42

Step-by-step explanation:

One angle of a regular pentagon = 108°

One angle of a regular hexagon = 120°.

One angle of a square = 90°

∴ ∠BAC = 360 – (108 + 20 + 90) 360 – 318 = 42°
