The probability of landing on red the first time is 1/2, because there are two colors on the wheel. The probability of landing on blue the second time in that individual round is 1/2. The probability of landing on red the third time in that individual round is 1/2.

Multiply 1/2 by 1/2 by 1/2

Answer: The probability is 1/8

Can you please help me? Keep it a little basic. (no decimals) Thanks for the help!
Delvig [45]
When you are dividing fractions you just flip the second fraction upside down and multiply the two fractions
So the first is
½ x 6/1 = 6/2 = 3

For the second you write them as improper fractions then do the same
So it is
3/2 / 1/8 = 3/2 x 8/1 = 24/2 = 12

So the answer to the first question is 3 and the second is 12

Augustin has 20 different chess boards. If he played 3 games per day, each game played on a different board, how long would it t
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

514 days

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the formula (r+n-1)/r(n-1)

There are 1540 combinations. Then, we'll divide them by three because were not just finding the amount of combinations, but the time it'd take to play them all.

We get 513.333(cont.)

thats not really possible, so we're gonna go with 514 instead, rounding up. Normally we'd round down, because the number behind the decimal is below 5, but we really want to make sure we get every combination in there.

Hope this is helpful!
