Answer:

0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope m of a linear equation y = mx + b that goes through point (-9,6) and point (-3, 9) would have the following formula

m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} = \frac{9 - 6}{-3 - (-9)} = \frac{3}{6}= \frac{1}{2} or 0.5

Where (x_1,y_1), (x_2, y_2) are the coordinates of the 2 points that this line goes through

A bag has 9 marbles: 4 are green, 2 are red, and 3 are blue. Melissa chooses a marble at random, and without putting it back, ch
nika2105 [10]

Answer: pr (blue) = 1/3 or 0.33

Pr(green without replacement) = 1/2 = 0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability = number of possible outcomes/ number of total outcomes

Total number of outcomes is the sum of all the marbles, given as 9

Pr ( first marble blue) = no of blue marbles/ total number of marbles

= 3/9 = 1/3 or 0.333

Second marble is chosen without replacement- this means that the total outcome has reduced by 1, total number of marbles has reduced to 8 because there was no replacement.

Pr (second marble is green) = number of green marble/ total number of marbles without replacing the first marble

= 4/8 = 1/2 = 0.5

I hope this helps.

How do I solve inscribed angles?
Slav-nsk [51]
The triangles are similar so the angles are equal
2x^2 - 2 = 10x - 2
2x^2 - 2 - 10x + 2 = 0
2x^2 - 10x = 0
2x(x - 5) = 0
2x = 0       OR        x - 5 = 0
x = 0         OR        x = 5
0 doesn't make sense, because IF I plug 0 into 2x^2 - 2 I get a negative number.  We need to use 5 to find the angle measure

2(5^2) - 2 = 2(25) - 2 = 50 - 2 = 48 degrees or the measure of CED

In a random sample of 500 handwritten zip code digits, 464 were read correctly by an optical character recognition (OCR) system
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

z= 2.38

P = 0.008656

Step-by-step explanation:

Here n= 500 and p~= 464/500= 0.928 and q`= 1- 0.928 = 0.072

We formulate our null and alternate hypothesis as

H0 =  0.9 ;       H0 > 0.9

The degree of confidence = 90%

z₀.₀₅ = 1.645 for  α= 0.05

We use the test statistic

z=  x- np/√npq

z= 466-500 *0.9/ √500 * 0.9(1-0.9)

z= 466- 450/ √45

z= 16/6.7082

z= 2.38

As the calculated value of z= 2.38  is greater than α =1.645 so we reject H0.

If H0 is true the P value is calculated as

P = 1- Ф( 2.38)

P = 1-0.991344=0.008656
