Just divide the money by the hours and you get the hourly rate.

DeShawn  85 .75 / 7 = $12.25 per hour
Sandra      92.80 / 8 = $11.60 per hour

DeShawn earns more per hour. He has the higher rate.

The red one is (4.1) and the green one is (-2.4) because is positive to negative so the positive side is that you got and the negative part is you owe someone for example: -20 < 30 so if it says Emily goes to the store and the milk costs $30.99 and she only has $10.00 that means that she owes $30.00 so is -10 <30

What is the sum 4x+1/x+2 + x-1/3x
Yuri [45]

Answer:

\dfrac{4x+1}{x+2}+\dfrac{x-1}{3x}=\dfrac{13x^2+4x-2}{3x^2+6x}

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain:\\x+2\neq0\ \wedge\ 3x\neq0\\\\x\neq-2\ \wedge\ x\neq0

\dfrac{4x+1}{x+2}+\dfrac{x-1}{3x}=\dfrac{(4x+1)(3x)}{(x+2)(3x)}+\dfrac{(x-1)(x+2)}{(3x)(x+2)}\\\\=\dfrac{(4x)(3x)+(1)(3x)+(x)(x)+(x)(2)+(-1)(x)+(-1)(2)}{(3x)(x+2)}\\\\=\dfrac{12x^2+3x+x^2+2x-x-2}{(3x)(x)+(3x)(2)}\\\\=\dfrac{13x^2+4x-2}{3x^2+6x}
