Answer:

1.

A. decrease in the Sun's energy

Global climate patterns are dynamic: They are continually changing in response to solar radiation, atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations, and other climate forcing factors. Among the more predictable of these changes are cyclical changes in solar radiation reaching the poles.

Reference: Stevens, A. (2011) Factors Affecting Global Climate. Scitable

2.

B. by producing more greenhouse gases

A reasonable hypothesis is that any average global temperature increases due to increased atmospheric concentrations of global greenhouse gases will lead to some increase in the rate and amount of melting of polar ice and glaciers.

4.

D. A hurricane carries ocean water across the coast and damages houses of people.

These spheres are closely connected. For example, many birds (biosphere) fly through the air (atmosphere), while water (hydrosphere) often flows through the soil (lithosphere). In fact, the spheres are so closely connected that a change in one sphere often results in a change in one or more of the other spheres. Such changes that take place within an ecosystem are referred to as events

Which of the following statements about the Australian koala is true? a. The animal can only live in Australia.b. Its habitat ca
Rudiy27

Answer:

Option A, The animal can only live in Australia

Explanation:

At present the Koala are found in several states of Australia such as

a) Queensland

b) NSW

c) Victoria

d) South Australia

Though the Koala is found on the eucalyptus trees  of the  temperate rain forest , they are only found in Australian geographies . There are several other place on planet earth where there is rainforest with eucalyptus trees and temperate climate, even though the Koalas are limited to Australia.

Hence Option A is correct.

Prior to its export from the nucleus, what modifications must be made to a mRNA molecule in eukaryotic cells?
mamaluj [8]

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

Before the mRNA which has been processed from DNA is taken and transported to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm for the translation process, some modifications are made to the mRNA before transport. This includes

1. Capping: addition of 5'-5' phosphate bonds to the 5' terminus of the mRNA. Forms the cap structure that is essentials for binding to ribosomes via special proteins attached to the cap structure

2. Addition of poly(A) tail: a poly(A) addition signal (AAUAAA) is attached to the 3' terminus of the mRNA. They are important in translation initiation and degradation prevention

3. Splicing: this is likely the most remarkable processing in eukaryotes. It involves the removal of intron regions by excision from the present-mRNA and then ligating the exon regions together giving rise to the mRNA.

cellular respiration occurs in which three stages? light reaction, dark reaction, atp production glycolysis, krebs cycle, electr
zubka84 [21]

Answer:

The correct answer would be glycolysis, Krebs cycle, electron transport.

Cellular respiration refers to the set of the chemical reaction taking place in a cell in order to convert the chemical energy of the food into adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

These chemical reactions can be majorly divided into three stages:

1. Glycolysis: It takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell. It converts one molecule of glucose (6C) into two molecules of pyruvate (3C) with a net gain of 2 ATP molecules and 2 NADH molecules.

The pyruvate is then transported into the mitochondria where rest of the reactions take place.

2. The pyruvate is converted into acetyl Co-A which then enters the Krebs cycle. The cycle undergoes two round to utilize 2 acetyl Co-A and produces 4 CO₂. It also produces 6 NADH, 2 FADH₂, and 2 ATP.

3 All the NADH and FADH₂ produced undergo electron transport chain and produces ATP with the help of oxidative phosphorylation.
