Let's sort first,

8, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22

We can quickly add these up as 8+22 + 10+20 + 12+18 = 3(30) = 90

so the mean is 90/6 = 15

The median is the middle one. We have six so we take the average of the two middle ones,

median = (12+18)/2 = 15

That's the same as the mean.

Answer: Difference is zero

A team of 15 workers can do a job in 7 hours. How long would this work take if the team has 35 people?
GrogVix [38]
We would expect that the answer is a small value since there will be a total of 35 people who will work.
7 hours/15=x/35 workers
(7*15)/35=x hours
3hours=x

Therefore, the 35 people will work only for 3 hours.

What is the interquartile range of the data represented by the box plot shown below?
mezya [45]

Answer:

The interquartile range is 22.

Step-by-step explanation:

The box plot shows all three quartiles, where the first one is 45, the second quartile is 50 and the third quartile is 67 (remember that there are only three quartiles in a dataset).

Now, the interquartile range is defined as the difference between the third and first quartile, which in this case is 67 - 45 = 22.

Therefore, the interquartile range is 22.
