Option B is correct.

ANSWER:

The equation in slope-intercept form, of the line that passes through (0, 6) and has a slope of 4 is y = 4x + 6

SOLUTION:

Given, Point P (0, 6) and slope = 4

We need to find the equation in Slope-intercept form.

The slope intercept form is given as y = mx + c -------- eqn (1)

Where, m is the slope of line

C is intercept made on x-axis by the line.

We have a point and the slope, so first we can find equation using point-slope form and then convert into slope-intercept form.

Now, point-slope form is given as y-y_{1}=m\left(x-x_{1}\right) --- eqn 2

Put \mathrm{x}_{1}=0 \text { and } \mathrm{y}_{1}=6 in eqn (2) along with m = 4

y-y_{2}=m\left(x-x_{1}\right)=y-6=4(x-0)

y – 6 = 4x

We got the equation in point slope form, now let’s convert it into slope intercept form.

y – 6 = 4x

y = 4x + 6

Here, slope (m) = 4 and intercept (c) = 6

Hence we can conclude that, equation, in slope-intercept form, of the line that passes through (0, 6) and has a slope of 4 is y = 4x + 6

Answer:

y = 4x + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b

m= slope

b = y intercept

A greenhouse is offering a sale on tulip bulbs because they have inadvertently mixed pink bulbs with red bulbs. If 40% of the b
Zolol [24]

Answer:   0.8704

Explanation:

40% of the bulbs are pink, 60% are red

the probability of picking pink is 0.40 and the probability of not picking pink is 0.60

The chances of getting 4 non-pink in a row is 0.6*0.6*0.6*0.6 = 0.6^4 = 0.1296

The complement to this event is getting at least one pink bulb, which has a chance of 1-0.1296 = 0.8704

0.8704 converts to 87.04%

Eight year-old Alex is learning to ride a
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

The age of the horse, in human years, when Alex was born can be determined by simply deducting the Current age of Alex from the Current age of the horse in human years.

Therefore, the age of the horse, in human years, when Alex was born was 42 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Current age of Alex = 8

Current age of the horse in human years = 50

Since the age of the horse is already stated in human years, it implies there is no need to convert the age of the horse again.

Therefore, since Alex is a human who was born 8 years ago, the age of the horse, in human years, when Alex was born can be determined by simply deducting the Current age of Alex from the Current age of the horse in human years as follows:

The age of the horse, in human years, when Alex was born = 50 - 8 = 42

Therefore, the age of the horse, in human years, when Alex was born was 42 years.

This can be presented in a table as follows:

                               Age of Alex Age of the Horse (in human years)

The area of a square is 36cm2. What are the dimensions of the square? You must show your work. Pls tell me what the dimensions o
Helga [31]

Answer:

6 cm by 6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the formula for area of a square is A = s² where A = area and s is the length of one side. We know that A = 36 so:

36 = s²

√36 = s

s = ±6

Note that s = -6 is an extraneous solution because you can't have a side length of -6, therefore the answer is s = 6 so the dimensions of the square are 6 cm by 6 cm.
