Explanation:

John Snow was born in March 1813 as the first child out of the nine children William snow and his wife had. There was cholera issues in 1831 and Snow together with Hardcastle, helped the poor people in the area including the people who were minner at Killingworth Colliery.

There was a devastating cholera issue in 1849 and people believed it was as a result of the harmful air that was coming out from decaying organic matter in the area and this theory was termed Miasmatism. When similar outbreak occurred in Soho, John investigated the local deaths that were recorded and then arrived at the fact that the deaths were caused by contaminated water supply in that area. He further briefed the committee set up by the House of Common that Cholera was not contagious and did not also happen as a result of Miasmata, but was spread through water.
