Few colonies were involved in World war I in any way, so they were not affected by the alliances of Europe ( C )

Explanation:

During World War I very few former and present European colonies were actively involved in World War 1 so the alliances formed by the different European nations did not affect the colonies either Negatively or positively.

Most colonies were not free to make their own alliances with any European country except with the country that colonized them. since they not very much involved in the war they were saved from having to make such decisions which might have affected them negatively.
