Answer:

The first four terms are 3,9,27,81

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step :-1</u>

Given first term of sequence is a_{1} = 3

Given 'n' t h term is a_{n} = 3 a_{n-1}  .............(1)

here we put  n = 2 in equation (1)

a_{2} = 3a_{2-1}

a_{2} = 3 a_{1}    ..............2

put a_{1} = 3      in equation (2)

a_{2} = 3(3)

a_{2} = 9

put n=3 in equation (1)

a_{3} = 3 a_{3-1}

a_{3} = 3a_{2}

a_{3} = 3 (9) = 27

put n= 4 in equation (1)

a_{4} = 3 a_{4-1}

a_{4} = 3 a_{3}

a_{4} = 3(27) = 81

The first four terms of the sequence is

3 , 9, 27 , 81 ....this is geometric sequence

a =3 and ratio term is r =3

Given ; 2(10-13x)+9x=-34x+60
rewona [7]

Try comparing your solution with the following:

Solution:

2(10-13x)+9x=-34x+60\\(20-26x)+9x=-34x+60\\20-26x+9x=-34x+60\\20-17x=-34x+60\\20-60=-34x+17x\\-40=-17x\\x=\frac{40}{17}

Answer:

x=\frac{40}{17}

Check:

2[10-13(\frac{40}{17})]+9(\frac{40}{17})=-34(\frac{40}{17})+60\\-20=-20

Write an equation for the line described in standard form with x-intercept 4 and y-intercept 5
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

Equation( \frac{5}{4}) x  + y = 5 is in the standard dorm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the x - intercept = 4 , so ( 4,0) is a point on the line.

and the y - intercept = 5, so ( 0,5) is a point on the line.

So, the slope of the equation is given as  =  \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2-x_1 }  = \frac{5 -0}{0-4}  = -\frac{5}{4}

Now, the SLOPE INTERCEPT FORM of an equation is :

y  = mx + b: here m  = slope and b =  y- intercept

or, y =-( \frac{5}{4}) x + 5

Now, standard form is Ax +By = C

So, the standard form is ( \frac{5}{4}) x  + y = 5

Hence, the above equation ( \frac{5}{4}) x  + y = 5

is in the standard dorm.
