Your neighbor and his little boy were out in their front yard. The little boy has a toy car that he can sit in and ride (by push

ing along with his feet). His father was working on his car, and you watched the father slide under his car to work underneath it with some tools. You looked over a few minutes later and giggled because the little boy also slid under his toy car and was using some of his plastic tools to "fix" the car. This demonstrates:

Answer: Observational learning

Explanation:

Observational learning is a way of learning that happens through the observation and modeling of the behavior and attitude of others. It is a kind of social learning that doesn't require any reinforcement to happen but does need a social model. During childhood, a model is a person who enbodies authority or higher status in a group, such as the parents, a sibling or a teacher.

Answer:

D. principle of original horizontality

Explanation:

When you come upon a series of folded sedimentary strata in the field, the principle of original horizontality can be use to determine that they must have been disturbed after their deposition.

The principle of original horizontality which was proposed in the 17th century by Nicholas Steno states that layers of sediment are originally deposited horizontally under the action of gravity, and thus, any disturbance in the consistency of these layers is an indication that it must have been disturbed.

Was it a mistake for the British to use mercenaries to help fight the war? Why or why not
Dmitriy789 [7]
In any war where mercenaries are used, the nation who employs them risks many things. Some are of ethical and moral nature, other are about efficiency. Mercenary armies have been present since ancient times and the british are no exemption to using mercenaries when fighting any bigger war (you didn't really list which war you meant). Mercenaries were usually viewed as less moral and ethical soldiers as they didn't care for the reputation of their employer, while soldiers fighting under a banner had to. At the same time, they often provided the extra edge to a fighting force which enabled them to win.

What is the main idea of the following paragraph (in my own words)?
cestrela7 [59]

Answer: I would make just a few changes. I do understand what you want to convey with this paragraph. You have done well with your translation.

“Paraphrasing” is saying something someone else has said in your own words. You still express the same ideas, just in a different way. It can be a useful skill to have, especially if you are trying to write an essay or article.

Hope this helped!

The true statement about Jim Crow laws is the first one: they were enacted in the South. They were definitely not ending racial discrimination, but they were giving the discrimination another form.
