Since I can really only see number 50, I'll do that one. Since the 3x + 17 and 5x + 3 form a straight line, and you know that a straight line is 180 degrees, you set 3x + 17 and 5x + 3 EQUAL to the 180, set up like this: 3x + 17 + 5x + 3 = 180. Add your like terms on the left side, which gives you 8x + 20 = 180. Then, subtract the 20 from 180, that being 8x = 160. Finally, divide 8 from 160 to get x by itself. Your final answer should be x = 20.

The both equations should equal 180° when combined. So when you add like-terms you get 8x+20=180. X=20°

Answer:

1. 160cm²

2. 176.25cm²

3. 33.75ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area triangle = (1/2)(base)(height)

1)

total area = 2(area small triangle) + 2(area big triangle)

= 2(0.5(8)(9))+2(0.5(8)(11))

=72+88=160cm²

2)

total area = 2(area small triangle) + 2(area big triangle)

= 2(0.5(7.5)(7.5))+2(0.5(7.5)(16))

= 56.25 + 120 = 176.25cm²

3)

total area = 2(area small triangle) + 2(area big triangle)

= 2(0.5(4.5)(2.5))+2(0.5(4.5)(5))

= 11.25+22.5 = 33.75ft²

What is the y-intercept of the graph of the function f(x) = x2 + 3x + 5?
OLga [1]
Hello there!

How do you find the y-intercept?

Answer: To find the y-intercept, substitute in 0 for x and solve for y

y = x² + 3x + 5

y = (0)²  + 3(0) + 5

y = 0 + 0 + 5

y = 5

Thus, the correct answer is option D (0,5)

I really hope this answer is clear enough for you to understand. If you have questions about the answer, please let me know.

As always, I'm glad to be your helper this evening~!

A kilogram of whole- wheat flour cost $6. what is the cost of 400 grams of the flour?
maria [59]
As you know, 1kq=1000g

To simplify the problem, we should get the amount of money 200g of flour will cost.

So we do 5/6 (5=amount of parts off 200g and 6=the amount of money) which equal to $1.2/200g

1.2*2=$2.4

Hence 400g=$2.4
