I then realized it was some type of trapezoid however, I wasn't sure which kind of trapezoid (regular or isosceles) so I googled the properties of both and concluded that it makes a regular trapezoid.
X^2-48 can be viewed as a difference of squares which would factor to:
(x+√48)(x-√48)
So b=√48
