When baking soda and vinegar are mixed together bubbles form and the vinegar and baking soda are changed into new chemicals. Is
seropon [69]

Answer:

Its a chemical change.

Explanation:

When baking soda and vinegar are mixed bubbles formed and new product is formed by both reactant. So its a chemical change because in a chemical change new substances are formed.

Chemical change:

The changes, that occur due to change in the composition of a substance and result in a different compound is known as chemical change.

These changes are irreversible

These changes occur due to chemical reactions

These may not be observed with naked eye

Example:

Combustion of fuel or wood: that oil or wood convert into energy, CO2 and ash in case of wood

Boiling of egg: that change the chemical composition of protein in the egg .

The reaction of Hydrogen and oxygen:

H 2 (g)  + O 2  (g) -------------------------------------> 2H 2O  (l)

When you count up the electrons in a Lewis Structure, do double and triple bonds count as 4 or 6 electrons?
natima [27]

Answer:

Double=4 and triple=6

Explanation:

This is because double bonds are two pairs of electrons are shared between atoms and triple bonds are three pairs, and one pair of electrons is 2, so 2 x 2=4 and 2 x 3=6.

A Gas OCCUPIES 525ML AT A PRESSURE OF 85.0 kPa WHAT WOULD THE VOLUME OF THE GAS BE AT THE PRESSURE OF 65.0 kPa
german

Boyle's law of ideal gas: This law states that the volume of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure at a constant temperature. Acc to this law we can write the relation of pressure and volume as:

PV=Constant

That means:

P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}

From that equation we can calculate Volume of gas at a certain pressure:

P₁=Initial pressure

V₁=Initial volume

P₂=Final pressure

V₂= Final volume

Here P₁, initial pressure is given as 85.0 kPa

V₁, initial volume is given as 525 mL

P₂, final pressure is 65.0 kPa

P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}

so,

V_{2}=85\times 525\div 65

=686 mL

Volume of gas will be 686 mL.

Its atoms contain 3 protons and 4 neutron(s).<br> Express your answer as an isotope.
velikii [3]

Answer: A=7 for the isotope with 4 neutrons.

Explanation:A lithium atom contains 3 protons in its nucleus. Notice that because the lithium atom always has 3 protons, the atomic number for lithium is always Z = 3. The mass number, however, is A = 6 for the isotope with 3 neutrons, and A = 7 for the isotope with 4 neutrons.

Choose the statement below that is TRUE.
Leni [432]

Answer: Option (a) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A weak acid is defined as an acid that dissociates partially when dissolve in water or a polar solvent.

For example, acetic acid is a weak acid and when dissolved in water it dissociates partly into ions as follows.

         CH_{3}COOH(aq) \rightleftharpoons CH_{3}COO^{-}(aq) + H^{+}(aq)

And, a strong acid is defined as an acid which when dissolved in water dissociates completely into ions.

For example, HCl is a strong acid and when dissolved in water it dissociates completely.

       HCl \rightarrow H^{+} + Cl^{-}

Thus, we can conclude that the statement a weak acid solution consists of mostly non-ionized acid molecules, is true.
