3t-1=8
3t=8+1
3t=9
3t divide by 9
Will give you 3
So your t value would be 3

Explanation: you would have to bring the -1 over to the 8, making the 1 positive. Then you would add up 8 nd 1.
And just divide the two numbers so 9 divide by 3. And you would have your answer T=

Hope this helped

In a right triangle the measures of the two smaller angles are (3x+6) and (2x+1) find the measure of the smaller angle in the tr
Lina20 [59]
Well since the triangle is right angled you know that the given angles sum to 90........(angle sum of a triangle 180, 1 angle = 90) so you can say 3x + 6 + 2x - 1 = 90 or 5x - 5 = 90 now solve for x. the smaller angle will be 2x - 1 so substitute your answer for x and you'll have the measure of the smaller angle. hope that helps

STRUCTURE Without graphing or solving, determine the number of solutions of the system.
Mkey [24]
I believe the answer would be "infinitely many solutions" because you can put any number as x and y would be a different answer each time for both of the equations given. i hope this helps :)

When six is subtracted from five times a number, the result is 9
lozanna [386]
You do 9=5y-6. And then solve for y. It’s is 3.

Jason has a container holding 11.5 quarts of liquid. If he want to find enough containers to hold 13 times this amount of liquid
Pani-rosa [81]

Answer: 149.5 quarts

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that Jason has a container holding 11.5 quarts of liquid and that he wants to find enough containers to hold 13 times this amount of liquid.

The number of quarts of liquid that the containers need to hold will be:

= 13 × 11.5

= 149.5 quarts

Use the echelon method to solve the following system of two equations in two unknowns. Check your answer. x+y=17 amd 9x-y=73
Komok [63]

Answer:

  y = 8

x = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

given equation,

x + y = 17     ........(1)

9 x - y = 73...........(2)

writing in matrix form

A X = B

\begin{bmatrix}1 &1 \\ 9 &-1 \end{bmatrix} \begin{bmatrix}x\\ y\end{bmatrix}=\begin{bmatrix}17\\73 \end{bmatrix}

using augamented matrix A|B

\begin{bmatrix}1 &1& 17\\ 9 & -1 & 73\end{bmatrix}

using row transformation

R₂ = R₂ - 9 R₁

\begin{bmatrix}1 &1& 17\\ 0 & -10 & -80\end{bmatrix}

now,

\begin{bmatrix}1 &1 \\ 0 &-10 \end{bmatrix} \begin{bmatrix}x\\ y\end{bmatrix}=\begin{bmatrix}17\\-80 \end{bmatrix}

now

-10 y = -80

    y = 8

and

x + y = 17

x = 17 -8

x =9
