The sum of the interior angles, s, in an n-sided polygon can be determined using the formula s=180(n-2), where n is the number o

f sides. Benita solves this equation for n and writes the equivalent equation n=s/180+2. Using this formula, how many sides does a polygon have if the sum of the interior angles is 1,260?

The area of the base of a rectangular prism is 4 3/4 ft², and the height is 2 1/3 ft. Determine the volume of the rectangular pr
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a rectangular prism is calculated multiplying the area of the prism times the height of the prism.

The area of the base of your prism is 4 3/4 ft2, so you are going to multiply it times the height that is 2 1/3 ft.

The result must be: 11.07 ft³

The same eight people sit in a certain church pew every week, but not always in the same order. Every week, each person hugs the
vfiekz [6]

It takes 4 weeks at minimum for each pair to hug at least once if they sit in random order.

Analyzing the Given Information

As per the given information,

Number of people = 8

It is given that they sit in random order every week.

W e assume that the order is not repeated.

There are 4 pairs and since a person hugs both the persons on his immediate left and right.

Determining the Number of Weeks

Total number of people to be hugged by each person = 7

Number of people hugged by a person in one week = 2

So, number of weeks taken by each to huge every other person = 7/2

⇒ It will take (3 +1) for every pair to hug.

It takes 4 weeks at a minimum for every pair to hug if we assume that  their order is not repeated.

A pole that is 3m tall casts a shadow that is 1.22m long. At the same time, a nearby building casts a shadow that is 38.5m long.
vichka [17]
Refer to the diagram shown below.

The height of the pole is CD (3 m), and its shadow is AB (1.22 m).
The height of the building is h m, and its shadow is AD (38.5 m).

The two triangles ΔABC and ΔADE are similar because of AAA.
Therefore
\frac{DE}{BC} = \frac{AD}{AB} \\\\  \frac{h}{3} = \frac{38.5}{1.22}

Cross multiply.
1.22 h = 3*38.5 = 115.5
h = 115.5/1.22 = 140.91 m

Answer: 141 m (nearest meter)
