Alright! So T stands for the total he earn and the D stands for the times he walk his neighboor dogs.

So the equation is going to the like this

T=11+D

Second one L is for Larry and K is for Kyle which each is the number of dogs they walked

So the equation is going to be

L = 2(K) + 4

Hope this helped :D

Answer:

Part A: T stands for total money earned and S stands for money earned on Sunday

T = 11 + S

Part B: We know Larry walked AT LEAST twice the amount of dogs than Kyle. So, L standing for Larry and K for Kyle:

L = 2(K)

But, it tells us he walked twice, plus 4 more. So our final equation will be:

L = 2(K) + 4

The differential equation of a certain system is 20⁢y′⁢′+c⁢y′+80⁢y=0
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

c=80

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on my reading the critical damping occurs when the discriminant of the quadratic characteristic equation is 0.

So let's see that characteristic equation:

20⁢r^2+c⁢r+80⁢=0

The discriminant can be found by calculating b^2-4aC of ar^2+br+C=0.

a=20

b=c

C=80

c^2-4(20)(80)

We want this to be 0.

c^2-4(20)(80)=0

Simplify:

c^2-6400=0

Add 6400 on both sides:

c^2=6400

Take square root of both sides:

c=80 or c=-80

Based on further reading damping equations in form

a⁢y′⁢′+b⁢y′+C⁢y=0

should have positive coefficients with b also having the possibility of being zero.

You have 100 feet of fencing and decide to make a rectangular garden. What is the largest area enclosed
k0ka [10]

Answer:

625 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

P = 100 --- perimeter

Required

The largest area

The perimeter is calculated as:

P = 2 * ( L + W)

So, we have:

2 * ( L + W) = 100

Divide both sides by 2

L + W  = 50

Make  L the subject

L = 50 - W

The area is calculated as:

A= L * W

Substitute L = 50 - W

A= (50 - W) * W

Open bracket

A = 50W - W^2

Differentiate with respect to W

A' = 50 -2W

Set to 0; to get the maximum value of W

50 - 2W = 0

Collect like terms

-2W = -50

Divide by -2

W = 25

So, the maximum area is:

A = 50W - W^2

A = 50 * 25 - 25^2

A = 1250 - 625

A = 625
