Answer:

Length = 5 cm, width = 2 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

If L is the length and W the width we have the equations:

LW = 10            <-----  The area.

2L + 2W = 14      <------ The perimeter.

From the first equation L = 10/W so substituting for L in the second equation:

2 * 10/W + 2W = 14

20/W + 2W = 14             Multiplying through by W:

20 + 2W^2 = 14W

2W^2 - 14W + 20 = 0      Dividing by 2:

W^2 - 7W + 10 = 0

(W - 5)(W - 2) = 0

W = 5 or 2.

So W is either 2 or 5 cm.

Substituting W = 2 in LW = 10

L * 2 = 10

L = 5 cm.

The length is longer than the width so the length is 5 cm and the width = 2 cm.

Answer:

  a) 540°

  b) 720°

  c) 900°

  d) 1440°

Step-by-step explanation:

The total measure of internal angles of a convex polygon is given by the formula ...

  sum of angles = 180°(n -2) . . . . for an n-sided polygon

So, you count the sides, subtract 2, and multiply that result by 180°.

__

a) 180°(5 -2) = 540°

b) 180°(6 -2) = 720°

c) 180°(7 -2) = 900°

d) 180°(10 -2) = 1440°

Write the equation in slope intercept form. what is the slope and y intercept. -9x+10y=-9
Svet_ta [14]
  • Slope-Intercept Form: y = mx + b, with m = slope and (0,b) as the y-intercept.

So firstly, add both sides by 9x: 10y=9x-9

Next, divide both sides by 10 and your slope-intercept form is y=\frac{9}{10}x-\frac{9}{10}

Now looking at our slope-intercept form equation, the slope is 9/10 and the y-intercept is (0, -9/10).
