Why was William Pitt successful at managing the war for Britain ?
7nadin3 [17]
William Pitt established a policy of getting France out of North America, regardless of resources required. By 1758, there where over 50,000 British troops, be it formal army or colonial militia, in the Americas, equal to the entire population of 'New France' (France's term for Canada and the Ohio river area)

Related fact: Pittsburgh was named after him when George Washington established Fort Pitt at the present-day city during the French-Indian war. (It was originally called Fort Duquesne, but was renamed to Fort Pitt in 1758)

how does Mr. white approach the game of chess as he plays with his son? What might this reveal about his personality?
Valentin [98]

Answer:

Explanation:

Based on the novel called The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs, during the chess game Mr. White wants to desperately beat his son so he grimly surveys the board, which indicates his greed as he does not care about his son but instead only cares about winning, much like he later on only wants the monkeys paw that no one else has and does not give much consideration to the consequences or those around him.
