If I toss a fair coin in real life and I get two heads in a row, does that change the probability of getting one tail in every t

wo tosses? I know this sounds pretty stupid, but this is bothering me for a while. I mean, shouldn't I get alternate Heads and Tails for every two tosses I make? Or do I have to continue tossing up to infinity to get an equal probability of heads and tails?

Getting two heads in a row does not change the probability of getting a tail. There is a 50/50 chance for both heads and tails each time you flip a coin, because there are two possibilities each equally possible. The 50% probability of getting a tails is not a guarantee. It's possible to get more heads than tails, or vice versa. What the probability means is that on average the results are about equal, and you have an equal likelihood of getting either result.

Mythbusters has an episode on this, actually. They explain it really well. I recommend you watch it.

Answer:

Angle Z =79° and x = 31.33

Step-by-step explanation:

From the shown parallel and intersecting lines , it is found that,

∠z° = 79° interior angle on same side of transversal

and ∠z = (6x - 109°) corresponding angles

i.e 79°+109°= 6x

or, 188 = 6x

i,e x = 31.33

Hence angle z =79° , and x = 31.33

Alisha is drawing a map of her school. She is not able to draw the map to scale because it would be too large. Each centimeter o
arsen [322]

Here we want to see which one of the given graphs is the one with the correct relationship between distance in centimeters and meters. We will see that the correct option is the first graph.

Working with changes of scale.

So we know that each centimeter on the map must represent 4 meters in reality, this is a change of scale, so the scale is:

1cm = 4m

First, this relation is linear (each centimeter will always be equal to 4 meters) so the two bottom options that are not linear can be discarded, so we only have the first and second graph.

If you read them, you can see that in the second one 1 meter is equivalent to something near 5 cm, so this is also incorrect.

The only graph that shows a correct scale is the first one, where for each increment of 1 unit on the horizontal axis (the one in centimeters) we have an increase of 4 m (estimated). This means that 1cm = 4m, as in our change of scale.

So the correct option is the first graph.

If you want to learn more about changes of scale, you can read:

In the xy-plane, the point (4,4) lies on the graph of the function f(x)-2x2-bx + 12. What is the value of b?
nikdorinn [45]
Simply substitute the point into the given equation; as there is one variable, you only need one point and so one is given. When done so, you shall get b=4

Can someone answer this and also show their work. Plzzzzz. Need it by tomorrow.
KIM [24]
To do this we use FOIL method, this method calls for 2 parenthesis and 4 expressions, which is what we have here, how FOIL works is (multiplying):

First with first
Outer with outer
Inner with inner
Last with last

So always follow this method when you have a situation like this so,

F: 4d² (d * 4d)
O: -3d
I: 8d
L: - 6

So the full expression would be: 4d² - 3d + 8d - 6

If you have any question, please ask me, good luck!
