Which did not occur as a result of the Indian Removal Act?
slava [35]

Answer:

O New treaties were created with the federal government.

Explanation:

People didn't want to move, so they would resist removal. Plus, tribes were forced to move and therefore caused distrust towards the government. Lastly, they were forced to walk the Trail of Tears because they were being moved to other places so farmers could take their land.

I am assuming that new treaties were not made by the goverment, but I may be wrong. If there were new treaties made by the government, then the answer would be the Trail of Tears answer. I think this because I don't think they had to walk it years later. They may have walked it years later, but I don't think the government would wait that long to get them off of the land they want.

Sue and Tim are arguing about the value of appointing rather than electing federal judges. Sue says the judges should be elected
kompoz [17]

Answer:

b- Judges are representatives of the people in government just like other officials and should represent majority will.

Explanation:

The other three speak the opposite of what Sue wants to say, becaus if judges are elected they are submitted to the likeness of the people, and their decision can affect their "electiveness", so they could perform differently when knowing that one hard controversial decision could affect the public view of him. And they can also start making decision based on what the public wants him to do.

What did state legislatures in the South do as a result of the Brown v. Board of Education ruling?
UkoKoshka [18]

The correct answer is “They enacted laws and policies to prevent the desegregation of public schools in their states.”

The Brown v. Board of Education was a US Supreme Court decision that ruled that separating children in public schools on the basis of race was unconstitutional. Despite the decision, there was resistance and some legal obstacles to the desegregation were created in the Southern states, for example, Arkansas state called the state’s national guard to block black students entry. In Mississippi Medgar Evers - a black man who sued the state - was murdered by a member of the White Citizens Council member.
