Majority rule guarantees that a popular belief, idea, opinion, or a method of handling things is selected by popular vote [or say for example, 36 people out of 50 people total voted on this law, thus making it a majority rule (by having the most votes) and will now become a law]. Same thing concept applies in prior parts of history where majority rule was not always the best when it came into voting on new laws (but not in all cases), and would suppress or oppress the Minority vote or groups of people, ethnic backgrounds, etc.
